Product Description

The year is 1598 and Yspahan is the center of the Persian Empire. Players embody merchants striving to trade wisely with Yspahan by placing their goods in the right shops, by sending them to the Caravan, by constructing buildings, and by bribing the man in power.

Overview of the game:

Yspahan by Rio Grande Games is a fun strategy game that manages to include a lot of game play in a relatively short period of time. The goal of the game is to get the highest number of points, but points can be acquired in multiple ways in this exciting game. The game is divided into three weeks; intensity of the game increases as point potential increases with every week. Dice are an essential feature of this game. Players roll dice to acquire gold and camels, and to determine the placement of their resources on the board or the caravan card for varying numbers of points. Dice can also be traded in to acquire cards or to bribe the Supervisor into kicking your opponents out of their buildings so you can try and take over. At the end of the three weeks, the player with the highest number of points wins! Because there are so many different paths a player can take in this game it is a great game to play over and over again.
